Seit dem Erscheinen ihres ersten Albums Soul of a New Machine im Jahr 1992 stellten Fear Factory immer wieder unter Beweis, dass sie gute Musik machen können. Unter einem weniger günstigen Stern stand dagegen der Bandzusammenhalt. Nach ihrer Gründung in Los Angeles durch Dino Cazeres, Burton C. Bell und Raymon Herrera war es ein ständiges Kommen und Gehen. Doch die Band nutzte diese Umbrüche, um sich immer wieder neu zu erfinden und eine in der Welt des Industrial Metal einmalige Diskografie aufzubauen.
2021 erschien ihr Album Agression Continuum, auf dem sich die rhythmischen Riffs von Cazares und die kraftvolle Stimme von Bell perfekt ergänzen. Letzterer verließ die Band kurz nach Veröffentlichung des Albums – eine weitere Zäsur, die dem Italiener Milo Silvestro zugutekam: Der bis dahin eher unbekannte Musiker wurde über Nacht zum Sänger seiner Lieblingsband.
Der Auftritt auf der Mainstage beim Hellfest beweist: Fear Factory hat mit Silvestro als Frontman nicht an Power eingebüßt.
Since the release of their first album Soul of a New Machine in 1992, Fear Factory have proven time and again that they can make good music. On the other hand, the band's cohesion was less fortunate. After being founded in Los Angeles by Dino Cazeres, Burton C. Bell and Raymon Herrera, it was a constant coming and going. But the band used these upheavals to continually reinvent themselves and build a discography that is unique in the world of industrial metal.
Her album Agression Continuum was released in 2021, on which Cazares' rhythmic riffs and Bell's powerful voice complement each other perfectly. The latter left the band shortly after the album was released - another turning point that benefited the Italian Milo Silvestro: the previously unknown musician became the singer of his favorite band overnight.
The appearance on the main stage at Hellfest proves: Fear Factory has not lost any of its power with Silvestro as frontman.
