Celtic Tiger

Description
Combining Irish dancing with ballet, flamenco, hip-hop and salsa, alongside Michael's flute playing, Celtic Tiger is a dance interpretation of Irish history - a subject very close to Flatley's heart. "I read a lot about Irish history, especially the Great Famine and the mass migration of people from Ireland to the UK, US and Australia," says Flatley. "When the Irish first came to America, they were treated like slaves. They weren't even allowed to drink from the same water fountains. History has never mentioned it, so no one knows about it."
So, what does the dramatic history of Ireland look like, embodied in a dance show? Let's give the floor to Victoriel - a fan of Michael Flatley's talent and an eyewitness of the "Celtic Tiger" show in Budapest.
"On the huge screen behind the stage, juicy pink lips appear, proclaiming: "There is nothing like a home!", they are replaced by a cardiogram, we hear the beating of a heart. The rhythm quickens, I notice that my heart also begins to beat at a furious pace - about to break out! Yes, a typical Flatley trick! And then, having reached the apogee, maximum speed, the heart suddenly stops, and the next moment everyone just jumps in their seats from the unexpected thunderous roar of a tiger, a Celtic tiger, whose muzzle takes up the entire screen.
A second of silence and darkness... And then – the first blows of heels on the stage... They become more frequent... We see many dancers and... Flatley himself! The speed of the blows increases, waves, feints – different tricks fascinate us, Michael brings everyone into ecstasy... It is hard to follow the dancers' feet – they move with incredible speed, it seems that either the floor will smoke now, or the feet will get tangled in a knot:)..... Bang! – the dance is over, and the stadium explodes with stormy applause and shouts... That's how the show began...

River Dances

Description
"Riverdance" is a dance and music show that was first shown at the Dublin "Point Theatre" in 1995.
This show has conquered the whole world. The synthesis of Irish dance, acrobatic tricks, live music, beautiful songs accompanied by national instruments - all this is "Riverdance", a show with great magnetic power, the most famous and stunning in its scope and power project born in the land of the Celts.
The songs and dances of the show "Riverdance" tell about the relationship of man with the world around him, about the primitive feelings of fear, joy and fire. About how wood, fire and water became for man what he could call his home. About the strength that the world around him gives to man. A wild whirlwind of dance and music will take you on a journey to mysterious myths and legends, fill you with the energy of life itself and give you truly unforgettable memories of the emerald hills of the magical world. Unfortunately, Michael Flatley is no longer in this recording - he left the group and created another one and changed the name of the show to Lord of the Dance!

Lord Of The Dance

Description
After leaving "Riverdance", Flatley calculated that about two million dollars would be needed to stage a new show, the thoughts of which did not give him peace. At the moment, he had three. Of course, investors were immediately found who, with Flatley's consent, would have unconditionally contributed the required amount, but Michael, having learned from bitter experience, decided to pay for the production and staging of the show only from his own pocket. Having founded the company "Unicorn Entertainments Ltd", Flatley secured for himself the rights and full control over "Lord Of The Dance" (this is how modestly and tastefully the new dance extravaganza of Flatley with him in the leading role was named, in connection with which the phrase "King of Dance" is now an absolute synonym for the name of Michael Flatley:))). To write advanced Irish rock music for "King of Dance", Michael invited the famous Irish composer Ron Hardiman. Being a tough and demanding leader, Flatley exhausted himself and the dancers with rehearsals. It could not be otherwise: having put money, ambitions and dreams on the line, Michael, in case of failure, could lose all of this at once, and, in addition, lose the opportunity to prove to others that the situation with "Riverdance" did not knock him off track. Most likely, there was also a sense of revenge, which, as everyone knows, always fuels the avenger very, very strongly. By the way, in 1996 Flatley completely changed his image. There was not the slightest trace of his naivety (even if external). Flatley is cold and lustful. The golden curls that had disappeared a little earlier were finally and irrevocably replaced by a short haircut, shirts with wide sleeves began to seem like a relic of the past, and the kind "trademark" smile a la "Riverdance" sank into oblivion. In the new show, during his first appearance (or rather, take-off) on stage, Michael looks serious, decisive and even a little stern - and could it be otherwise? Name at least one cheerful king, except for "old grandpa Kolya":) Here they are, the victims of the image!:) In addition, it was still completely unclear how the audience would react to the new trends, to which so much effort, time and money had been given, finally! And only after the crazy applause of the audience, which immediately followed Flatley's first appearance on stage and, by the way, fell silent only during Anne Buckley's solo numbers and the magnificent duet of violinists, the King of Dance changed his anger to mercy. He knows he has won, and he is happy. By the end of the show, Michael can barely hold back tears of joy (let's forgive the King for this momentary weakness :), and for some reason you want to cry with him - everything you've seen is too beautiful, too exciting, too unreal to be true, too... And let the purists say whatever they want - this is real art. "We love you, Ireland!" - Flatley responds to the enthusiastic shouts and chants of the audience. The final dance for an encore. More! More! More! The King of "Riverdance" is dead? No way! Long live the King of Dance!
